"Thank you most especially for always providing my clients with your extraordinary services. I hope (and expect) that I'm not the first to let you know that you and your team are head & shoulders above anyone else in your field."
Susan Stone, MFT
(a local therapist who referred several children for psychoeducational evaluations)
Psychoeducational Evaluations
Provided to students in grades 1-12 to determine the causes of school difficulties, to help parents and educators understand these difficulties (as well as strengths), and to make recommendations. Click for detailed information on these evaluations
Attention Deficit Disorder (AD/HD) Assessments
Provided to children and adults to diagnose attention difficulties. Usually involves 3 to 4 sessions, including interviews, questionnaires and the TOVA continuous performance test. Billed at regular session rates and often covered by insurance.
Review of records & second opinions
I am available to review assessments done by public schools and other providers. This is often a cost effective way to gain a second opinion rather than starting the testing process from the beginning again.
School observations & consultation
I am available to go out to your child's school and offer an objective opinion regarding your child's functioning there, the degree of match or mismatch, possible accommodations or other issues. This can be done as a separate service or in conjunction with an assessment.
Counseling services
I offer counseling to children and adults who have learning disabilities and attention difficulties as well as to the parents of such children. Often this involves a combination of traditional counseling and what is now being called "coaching" in that it involves looking for strategies that help the individual cope with the ongoing challenges of LD and/or AD/HD.
